The company behind the LMArena leaderboard is now worth $3.1 billion
Arena raised $200 million and is expanding its benchmarks to measure alignment issues such as lying.
Arena, the company that runs the popular LMArena model leaderboard, has raised $200 million led by Lightspeed and Khosla, nearly doubling its valuation to $3.1 billion in ten months. Beyond the familiar head-to-head chat rankings, it is adding evaluations for alignment behaviour such as whether models lie.
Why it matters
- Leaderboards shape which models vendors ship and which ones buyers pick.
- Alignment scores could become a purchasing criterion alongside speed and price.
