Repurpose One Useful Idea into a Week of Content
Use AI to adapt a source idea into several formats without publishing repetitive filler or changing the original meaning.
Repurposing works when each format helps a different reader or use case. It does not mean asking AI to paraphrase one article five times and posting the same message everywhere.
Start with one source you trust
Choose a useful article, webinar, customer interview or product demonstration that you have permission to reuse. Mark the central idea, supporting facts, examples and any caveats. If the source contains claims that may have changed, verify them before creating new versions.
Do not paste confidential customer conversations or private company material into a tool unless the data handling has been approved. Remove names and identifying details when they are not needed.
Pick formats with distinct jobs
For a practical guide on choosing an email platform, a useful week might include:
| Format | Reader’s job | New angle |
|---|---|---|
| Short social post | Decide whether to read the guide | One clear problem and one takeaway |
| Apply one selection rule | A short example using a small business scenario | |
| Checklist | Compare options quickly | Questions to ask before migrating |
| Short video outline | Understand one trade-off | A visual before-and-after workflow |
If two formats have the same audience, purpose and message, they may not need separate posts.
Ask for adaptations, not paraphrases
Use only the source notes below. Do not add facts or alter numbers.
Create three distinct adaptations:
1. A 70-word social post that introduces the problem.
2. A five-question checklist that helps a reader make a decision.
3. A 45-second video outline with a concrete example.
For each, state which source point it uses and flag any detail that needs verification.
Source notes: [paste approved material]
Audience: [reader]
Tone: [your voice rules]
Review each adaptation against the source. Check names, numbers, qualifications and links. Re-add caveats if a shorter format has made the original point sound more certain than it was.
Build a small publishing plan
Space the formats out and link them where useful. Give each post a distinct call to action, such as read the full guide, save the checklist or reply with a question. Track which format leads to meaningful engagement rather than counting the number of assets produced.
The goal is to make one useful idea easier to encounter and apply. If the adaptations feel repetitive, choose a new audience question or make fewer pieces.
