Greenlight Publish Pricing Review: What the $17 Starter offer includes
A buyer-focused assessment of Greenlight Publish's advertised one-time price, monthly scan allowance, bonus rights, refunds and service limits.
Greenlight Publish’s advertised Starter offer combines a one-time payment with a monthly scan allowance. That is appealing for authors who want an occasional publishing check without adding another subscription. The details matter more than the discounted price alone.
Review basis: We checked the official pricing section, FAQ and published scope notices on October 12, 2026. We have not purchased the offer or tested checkout, refunds or allowance resets. Prices and inclusions can change; confirm the terms shown at checkout.
The advertised Starter deal
| Item | Published offer at the time of review |
|---|---|
| Price | $17 one-time launch offer |
| Allowance | 10 readiness scans per month |
| Renewal | Monthly allowance refresh, without another subscription payment |
| Reset date | The purchase date each month, according to the FAQ |
| License | Single user |
| Core report | Disclosure guidance, trademark risk, originality signals and print readiness |
| Access duration | While the product is offered and operated |
The page displays a higher crossed-out reference price. We would judge the purchase using the current payable amount and the features you actually need, rather than the size of the displayed discount.
One-time payment does not mean unlimited scans
Starter’s limit is 10 scans each month. That is different from unlimited use, even though no recurring subscription is advertised.
A publishing schedule should account for revisions. A first report may lead to a changed title or a new PDF export, and another scan may be useful afterwards. The public offer does not fully resolve how failed jobs, policy-triggered re-scans or unused allowances are treated. Ask support about those cases before planning a large batch.
The duration is also qualified. Greenlight defines access in terms of the lifetime of the operated product. That should not be read as a guarantee of perpetual hosting or support. The low upfront price reduces the initial commitment, but the service remains dependent on its operator.
What is included beyond the report?
The published Starter list includes two GPT bonuses: AI Creation Log & Disclosure Prep GPT, and KDP Rights & Source Ledger GPT. It also advertises an Autumn Commercial Asset Vault with clipart, seamless papers and puppy illustrations.
The vendor describes commercial use in books you publish, while restricting resale or redistribution of the underlying asset files. Read the supplied license before using assets outside that stated context.
Our buying advice is to treat the bonuses as extras. If you would not use seasonal illustrations or those GPT workflows, their displayed dollar values should not influence whether the checking tool is worth buying. The page itself labels its value figures as illustrative.
Scope questions that affect value
The core originality description focuses on repeated passages, template wording and overlap with your own previous scans. It does not clearly establish comprehensive web-wide source checking for Starter. If that is essential, request a precise answer about the included search scope.
For print checks, margin analysis is described as sampled. For privacy, the vendor says files are parsed locally, but extracted text is sent for scoring. These details affect the fit for complex interiors and confidential manuscripts even when the price is attractive.
The offer lists six supported languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese. Do not assume Vietnamese manuscripts are supported simply because the uploader accepts a file.
Refunds and client work
The page directs buyers to the WarriorPlus purchase flow and the refund terms attached to the offer. It does not establish a universal refund period in the wording we reviewed, so we would not promise a specific number of days. Keep a copy of the terms at purchase and contact the vendor for product or refund support.
Starter is presented as a single-user license. The site’s access notice distinguishes standard personal publishing use from Agency Rights for paid client delivery. If you want to sell review services to clients, confirm the appropriate license instead of assuming Starter includes those rights. No license is described as permission to share or resell product access.
Who gets the best value?
The offer is most plausible for a solo publisher with a modest number of releases and a recurring need to organise final checks. If the reports provide accurate, useful findings, the small initial cost could be reasonable even without the bonuses.
The value is less clear for high-volume publishers, teams sharing access, authors working mainly in unsupported languages, or buyers whose main requirement is an external plagiarism search. Those needs should be resolved before purchase.
There is also a viable manual route: our KDP pre-publish checklist and Amazon’s official publishing resources provide a starting point without buying this product. Greenlight’s proposition is convenience and an organised report, rather than exclusive access to Amazon’s rules.
Verdict
At the advertised $17, Starter is a relatively small purchase for a regular solo KDP publisher. It is worth considering if you want the four checks together and can work within the monthly allowance. We would decide based on report quality, scope and license fit, rather than bonus valuations or the word “lifetime.”
See our overall review and print-workflow assessment for the product’s strengths and unresolved questions. Verify the current offer before paying. A readiness report supports a publishing decision; it does not guarantee approval, sales or royalties.
