Your 7-day video routine
Build a repeatable weekly loop so AI video becomes a habit with measurable results. · 7 min read
One video is an experiment. Seven in a week is a process you can improve.
What you will build
A 7-day schedule and a simple scorecard.
Figure 1. The same loop each week; only the topic changes.
The week
| Day | Task | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Mon | Pick the idea and write three hooks | One chosen hook |
| Tue | Script and storyboard (lesson 3) | Six scenes |
| Wed | Generate clips (lesson 4) | Usable clips and prompt log |
| Thu | Edit and caption (lesson 6) | Master and exports |
| Fri | Rights and disclosure check, then publish (lesson 7) | Published video |
| Sat | Check the numbers | Scorecard filled |
| Sun | Improve one prompt or one hook rule | Updated template |
You do not need to publish seven different videos. One strong video with three platform cuts also fits this loop.
The scorecard
Track a few numbers per video, the same ones each time:
| Metric | Why |
|---|---|
| Hours spent | Is this saving time? |
| Credits or cost | Is it affordable? |
| Attempts per usable clip | Are prompts improving? |
| Views at 24 hours, watch-through, clicks | Did the video do its job? |
Compare against your own previous videos, not other creators’.
Improve one thing per week
Look at your scorecard and choose a single change:
- Hook not holding? Rewrite the first three seconds.
- Too many attempts? Tighten the prompt template.
- Good views, no clicks? Make the call to action clearer.
A reusable prompt for the weekly review
Here is my scorecard for the last 5 videos: [paste].
Identify the one change most likely to improve results next week,
and give two specific ways to test it. Use only the numbers provided.
Do not guess about why viewers behave as they do; say what the data cannot tell us.
Worked example
A fitness coach ran the loop for four weeks. Attempts per usable clip fell from six to two after her prompt log made the useful camera phrases obvious. Time per video dropped from about four hours to under two, while watch-through improved most after she shortened hooks from eight seconds to three.
Common mistakes
- Changing tool and style every week.
- Measuring only views.
- Skipping the rights check when rushed.
Checklist
- Weekly schedule on your calendar
- Scorecard created
- One improvement chosen each Sunday
- Rights and disclosure check done before every publish
